Laura Hueto Puig
Creative wordsmith & content editor
Coming up with compelling stories is my thing, whether it's through a witty email subject line or a full-fledged marketing campaign.
No-holds-barred, daring, ahead-of-the-trend marketing (the best kind) gets me out of bed in the mornings… I like to think mobile, social and video-first, always keeping my finger on the pulse to see what the next big thing in digital storytelling will be.
Recent experience
I head the content team for the Europe Brand & Communications department, which currently includes 2 direct reports, a Language Manager for both French and German.
As the Content Editor, I am the owner of the content plan for the EU region, translating the global brand moments into localised activity that pushes the right content with the right product and creative, in the right channel, and at the right time.
I work cross-functionally with different teams on the day-to-day briefing and execution of the plan across all digital marketing channels (from Newsletter and Paid Social to Affiliates, Display and PMax).
I also report back on content performance to the global creative and content production teams with both qualitative and quantitative feedback to influence future content production.

As Mint Velvet’s Content Editor, I was the TOV guardian for the brand, overseeing all written output and ensuring we stayed true to our handwriting at every touch point. I also owned the ideation and planning of all marketing campaigns, keeping my finger on the pulse and working with the product teams to ensure we talked about the right product, at the right time, and in the right way.
Day to day, I briefed and/or signed off all marketing content, including homepages, magazine articles, Instagram stories, web assets, print, Facebook captions, product descriptions, website copy...
I was also the main POC for SEO in the Marketing team and managed one copywriter.
My main focus was writing informative, evocative and conversational product copy aligning with first The Outnet, then The Net-a-Porter Style Guides, as well as designer bios and landing pages, trend and catwalk reports and other internal/external content on an ad hoc basis.
Over time, I came to oversee the footwear and beauty categories, with a focus on building team knowledge and contributing to 'The Beauty Reporter', an internal beauty publication. I also enjoyed collaborating with all teams across the studio production, upload and buying teams to maintain good communication and sample flow, and ensure consistency.
